Cookies Policy
Effective: 21 April 2026 · Last updated: 21 April 2026
This Cookies Policy explains how Unicorns Tracker Sp.o.o. uses cookies and similar technologies on unicornstracker.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit. Cookies let a site remember who you are between pages and visits, keep you signed in, and measure how the site is used. Similar technologies (such as local storage and session storage) are used for the same purposes and are covered by this Policy.
2. Cookies we use
2.1 Strictly necessary (always on)
These are required for the Service to work. Without them you cannot sign in or stay signed in. They cannot be switched off.
| Name | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
sb-*-auth-token | Supabase session token — keeps you signed in | 1 year (refreshed) |
sb-*-auth-token-code-verifier | OAuth code-verifier during Google sign-in | Session |
2.2 Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which features are used and to improve the product. Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_* that collect anonymised usage data (pages visited, approximate location at country level, device type). IP addresses are truncated before storage.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes unique visitors | 2 years | |
_ga_<container-id> | Persists session state | 2 years |
2.3 Third-party cookies set during sign-in and payment
When you sign in with Google or complete a Stripe checkout, those providers set their own cookies on their domains to authenticate you or process your payment. These are governed by their respective policies:
3. Your choices
3.1 Browser controls
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to Unicorns Tracker.
3.2 Opting out of Google Analytics
You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data in any site you visit.
3.3 Manage your preferences
When you first visit Unicorns Tracker you are asked whether to allow analytics cookies. Strictly-necessary cookies are always set because they are required for sign-in. You can change your choice at any time:
4. Do Not Track
We currently do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals because there is no consistent industry standard for interpreting them.
5. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookies Policy if we introduce or remove cookies. The current version is always available at /cookies. Material changes will be communicated to account holders by email.
